Caroline's Soup Evening - WDSA does COUNTDOWN
Held at Church of the Ascension, The Avenue, Wembley from 8pm on Monday 9th January 2017. Please note we will be in the Main Hall (where we held the Christmas dance) this evening. Once again
Caroline's Soup Kitchen will be opening up for another evening of culinary
delights. To accompany the fare we will be playing our version of one of TV's
most enduring game shows. Based on letters, numbers and conundrums, Countdown has been a regular feature on Channel 4 since the channel started on 2nd November 1982. So far, over 6,000 episodes have aired. In January 2012, a post-watershed variant called "8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown" was devised as a comedy based alternative to the more serious original. In the TV version of the game, each round consists of 9 randomly drawn letters which the contestants needs to form into the longest word possible. In our version, we have re-arranged the letters from each dance in our programme (excluding any prefixed definite or indefinite article), for example: An easy one this - it is of course, James Gray.
So here is our programme. How many can you get?
