We are pleased to announce that Caroline Hamilton will once again be serving her home-made soup at our January Social.

My own recipe for a hearty broth is as follows:

Chop up a few Onions and Leeks. Sweat in Butter with some Potatoes. Add a Bay Leaf or two, Salt to taste and some Chicken Stock. Simmer and puree. Finally add a sprinkle of Thyme and a splash of Cream.

For those who were not able to join us but are interested in knowing which dances we actually did, the answers can be find by clicking here

Luckily Caroline will be producing the soup to consume while the recipe above is my inspiration for the evening's dance programme with each of the ingredients being replaced by a well known dance - some fairly obvious, others very obtuse!

So anyone who is intrigued as to how a dance is inspired by an onion is very welcome to join us at the Church of the Ascension on Monday 18th January 2010 at 8.00pm. Members £2.00, Non-members £3.00. Dances will be recapped or walked through as required.

Bon Appetit!
